## Job description
Monadical is looking for a an English Teacher with experience teaching intermediate and advanced ESL students. Experience teaching business English is a big plus.
The candidate selected will be responsible for running remote individual and group English classes for team members. English levels vary, but all are at least intermediate, many are seeking to improve conversational fluidity and business English. The candidate will also help edit and maintain our [blog](https://monadical.com/blog), posts for which are written by team members.
We prioritize individuals that demonstrate curiosity and a desire to learn and improve, with strong self-direction and self-motivation.
We’re a fully remote company, so you should be comfortable getting things done with little oversight! That being said, we enjoy each other’s company on our shared chat system and on calls, and we have a check-in system to keep people aware of each other's day-to-day work and side projects.
For candidates based in Montreal, we have an optional office available for use.
Part-time and full-time candidates will be considered.
### Minimum requirements
- Experience teaching English to intermediate/advanced students
- Very strong writing and editing skills in English
- Demonstrated ability to work in a self-directed way
- Excellent communication skills and collaborative spirit
- Availability during Eastern American working hours (11am - 5pm EST, flexible)
### Nice-to-haves
- Experience teaching business English
- Experience teaching English remotely / using remote learning tools
- Experience as an editor
- Based in Montreal, Medellin or Cali, Colombia

## Application Process
Our application process is easy and transparent:

2. **35 min: Conversational interview**
3. **1-2 hr: Sample class with Monadical team members (remunerated)**
4. **1 hr: Follow-up: interview to discuss your test class, possibly complete an editing task**
