We are growing fast as a company and looking for a candidate who would be excited to grow with us, take ownership of our client pipeline, and design business development plans and strategies. Additional duties would include maintaining a network of leads, referrals, and interesting contacts among other things. Candidates should have a solid understanding of the current state of the web application software industry, enough software engineering experience to evaluate a software solution in general terms, and have a sense of whether a project is feasible or not. We value open, inclusive communication. We’re looking for a candidate who can communicate openly and effectively with other team members. The candidate must also be able to accurately assess the clients’ needs and manage their expectations, while also making them feel taken care of. In general we love candidates that demonstrate curiosity, a desire to learn and improve, and have strong self-direction and self-motivation. We’re a fully remote company, so you should be comfortable getting things done with little oversight! That being said, we enjoy each others’ company on our shared chat system and on calls, and we have a robust check-in system to keep everyone on the same page and aware of what’s being worked on company-wide. ### Responsibilities - Grow, expand, and maintain a robust network of leads, referrals, and interesting contacts - Work directly with client prospects to assess and document their needs/challenges - In collaboration with the engineering team, develop and deliver demonstrations and proposals specific to each client - Understand the repercussions (in terms of time, expense, functionality, etc.) of product features, and be able to explain the impact of different decisions to clients - Provide an effective and impactful communication bridge between clients and the technical team - Gather feedback from clients and use it to improve processes and nurture existing business networks - Contribute to business development strategies and eventually build a sales team, if needed ### Requirements - Business and/or partner development experience - Experience building strong technical relationships with key shareholders and executives in strategic accounts - Solid understanding of the current state of the web application software industry - Ability to think critically and creatively about technological solutions / business problems - Software engineering experience/education (enough to be able to weigh the pros and cons of different software solutions, and to have a sense of what is realistic and what is not in terms of projects) - Strong personal drive and self-direction - Some travel may be required - Excellent communication skills, in both written and spoken English - Availability during EST working hours (11am - 5pm EST, flexible) (No degree or other certifications are required) --- ## Application Process Our application process is easy and transparent: 1. **5 min: Submit our online [application form](https://nick764452.typeform.com/to/foY2K2)** 2. **30-60 min: Conversational interview** Chat with Ana or Tess 3. **2-4 hr: Small untimed take-home project** We'll send you all the deails. 5. **45-60 min: Pairing interview** Discuss take-home project with Max and team leads.
