## Job description
We’re looking for a **Business Development and Partnership Manager** with an entrepreneurial mindset and a well-established network. The ideal candidate enjoys taking initiative and has experience identifying and cultivating new opportunities. As a growing company, we need someone eager to grow with us, take ownership of our client pipeline, and help shape business development strategies. You will be responsible for maintaining and expanding a network of leads, referrals, and valuable contacts, while contributing to the company’s overall growth.
Candidates should have a solid understanding of the current state of the software industry, enough software engineering experience to evaluate a software solution in general terms, and have a sense of whether a project is feasible or not.

In general we love candidates that demonstrate curiosity, a desire to learn and improve, and have strong self-direction and self-motivation. We’re a fully remote company, so you should be comfortable getting things done with little oversight! That being said, we enjoy each others’ company on our shared chat system and on calls, and we have a robust check-in system to keep everyone on the same page and aware of what’s being worked on company-wide.
## Responsibilities
- Build, grow, and maintain a robust network of leads, referrals, and key contacts.
- Collaborate with prospective clients to assess their needs, focusing on leveraging emerging technology trends (e.g., AI, automation, cloud solutions) to address their business challenges.
- Work closely with the engineering team to develop tailored demonstrations and proposals.
- Clearly explain the business and technical implications of product features, helping clients understand the impact of different decisions.
- Act as an effective communication bridge between clients and the technical team, ensuring client requirements are met.
- Gather and incorporate client feedback to improve processes and enhance business relationships.
- Contribute to strategic business development plans and support the potential growth of a sales team.
## Requirements
- Extensive experience in business and/or partnership development, with a strong preference for candidates with a background in the technology sector in the US.
- Strong networking skills and established connections in the US market, particularly within the technology sector.
- Solid understanding of new technology trends (e.g., artificial intelligence (AI), automation, and cloud-based applications), with the ability to identify how these innovations can create value for clients.
- Proven ability to build and maintain relationships with key stakeholders, including executives at strategic accounts.
- Ability to think critically and creatively about how new technologies can provide innovative solutions to business challenges.
- Experience or education in software engineering, enabling you to weigh the pros and cons of different software solutions and assess project feasibility.
- Curiosity and a strong drive to continuously learn and stay updated on industry trends.
- Experience working with software consultancies and entrepreneurial experience are required.
- Excellent communication skills, both written and spoken, with the ability to articulate complex ideas to technical and non-technical audiences.
- Strong personal drive, self-direction, and the ability to thrive in a fully remote work environment.
- Availability during EST working hours (10am - 5pm EST, flexible).
- Located in or near New York or Boston, or with a strong network in these locations.
- Some travel may be required to meet clients and partners.
