Our goal as a company is to build up a team of good people, with the knowledge and resources needed to invest in the projects that we're truly passionate about (that might not otherwise be funded by traditional VC means). We work with clients whose missions we believe in, and actively decline clients we don't think are a good fit with our work style or code of ethics. We try to build our company structure to ensure employees have lots of freedom to choose the projects they enjoy most, and the power to have a real impact on product decisions and company direction. **We also have a strong set of [company principles](https://docs.oddslingers.com/s/principles-handbook) that drive who we work with and how we maintain our culture.** The company principles handbook is a collaborative, public effort and is editable by any employee by submitting a pull-request. ### Perks Some perks of working with us include: - Work from home (we're fully remote! We're a fully remote company, so you should be comfortable getting things done with little oversight! That being said, we enjoy each others' company on our shared chat system and on calls, and we have a robust check-in system to keep everyone on the same page and aware of what's being worked on company-wide. ### Responsibilities - Grow, expand, and maintain a robust network of leads, referrals, and interesting contacts - Work directly with client prospects to assess and document their needs/challenges - In collaboration with the engineering team, develop and deliver demonstrations and proposals specific to each client - Understand the repercussions (in terms of time, expense, functionality, etc.) of product features, and be able to explain the impact of different decisions to clients - Provide an effective and impactful communication bridge between clients and the technical team - Contribute to business development strategies and eventually build a sales team, if needed ### Requirements - Solid understanding of the current state of the web application software industry - Ability to think critically and creatively about technological solutions business problems - Software engineering experience/education (enough to be able to weigh the pros and cons of different software solutions, and to have a sense of what is realistic and what is not in terms of projects) - Strong personal drive and self-direction - Sales/marketing experience - Strong English level (equivalent to C1 or higher) - Availability during EST working hours (11am - 5pm EST, flexible) (No CS degree or other certifications are required) --- ## Application Process Our application process is easy and transparent: 1. **5 min: Submit our online [application form](https://monadical.com/team.html#join)** 2. **30-60 min: Conversational interview** Chat with Ana or Tess (no whiteboarding or quizzing theory/architecture/etc.) 3. **2-4 hr: Small untimed take-home project** See https://docs.monadical.com/s/monadical-study-guide for more details -- the guide is focused on engineering projects, however in this case the project will be something appropriate to a Sales Engineer role (e.g. a mock proposal or demo for a client). 5. **45-60 min: Pairing interview** Discuss take-home project with Max.
